Description

Sennheiser EW-DX 835-S SET (R1-9) (520 - 607.8 MHz) NON DANTE Digital wireless handheld set.

 EW-DX EM 2 Rack Receiver -
The Sennheiser EW-DX EM 2 is a half-rack, dual-channel digital wireless receiver compatible with EW-DX SK bodypack, EW-DX SKM handheld, and EW-DX TS tabletop transmitters. Housed in a rugged, all-metal chassis built to withstand the rigors of professional use, it can either sit on a tabletop or be rackmounted (with the included rackmount set) for portable rigs and permanent A/V installs.

The wide 87 MHz tuning range, intelligent switching diversity, auto-scan, equidistant tuning grid, and Link Density mode work to provide rock-solid wireless performance and massive channel counts, even in challenging RF environments. Bluetooth capabilities allow you to remotely sync components and change settings from your phone using the Smart Assist app, while Sennheiser's Control Cockpit and Wireless Systems Manager software provide computer-based control for more extensive networked setups. The EW-DX EM 2 receiver is backward-compatible with EW-D components.

Reliable Wireless Performance with More Channels via Link Density Mode
• The EW-DX EM 2 operates in the UHF band, far away from potential Wi-Fi interference in the 2.4 GHz band.
• The UHF transmission greatly enhances range (up to 330') and the wide 87 MHz bandwidth gives you the ability to find a clean channel from 3480 available frequencies.
• Intelligent Switching Diversity offers effective protection against multipath and other anomalies that cause RF interference. The system compares incoming signals on two independent antennas and receiver circuits to ensure optimal wireless quality. The receiver switches between antennas only during header data as to never affect the audio information.
• Sennheiser's equidistant tuning grid removes the need for frequency coordination and enables you to operate up to 146 mic channels simultaneously.
• For complex systems requiring even more mics, engage the Link Density mode for up to 293 channels on the same system.
• AES-256 encryption keeps your transmissions private and safely protected from unauthorized users.

Easy-to-Use Receiver with Fast and Intuitive Interface
• The EW-DX EM 2 receiver offers intuitive front-panel controls and dual high-contrast OLED screens with meters for RF, battery status of the associated transmitter, and audio output that make setup a breeze.
• The auto-scan function automatically seeks out the cleanest available frequency for you.
• The receiver pairs with the transmitter via Bluetooth from up to 120' away, enabling you to quickly pair the mic directly from the stage without having to bring it close to the receiver.
• The back panel houses two balanced XLR outputs and two unbalanced 1/4" outputs for direct connection to any PA system or mixing board

Advanced Control from Your Computer, Phone, or Tablet
• With the Smart Assist app (free download available separately) installed on your Android/iOS phone/tablet, the power of Bluetooth connectivity puts full control of the EW-D EM 2 right in the palm of your hand. Use your mobile device to connect via Bluetooth for efficient operation and monitoring of your system.
• Sennheiser's Control Cockpit software for Windows allows you to view all the devices across your network, check the microphones in use, monitor battery life, troubleshoot problems, and adjust settings.
• For larger setups, Sennheiser's Wireless Systems Manager provides frequency planning and coordination and real-time monitoring of RF and audio levels. It also allows you to import frequency scans from third-party devices and conduct walk tests and receiver bandwidth scans.
• The system supports third-party interface plug-ins for easy integration into any controlled environment.

Maximize the Wireless Reliability of Your Receiver
• The rear-mounted, 1/4-wave detachable antennas can be upgraded to longer, 1/2-wave dipole antennas (available separately) for added range and reliability; you can also choose an ADA UHF Active Antenna or the AWM Wallmount Antenna as well.
• For setups with multiple receivers, the EW-D ASA Splitter allows you to split and distribute a dual-antenna signal across four receivers for clearer reception without the intermodulation problems that can occur when multiple antennas are used.

- EW-DX SKM-S Handheld Transmitter with MMD 835 Capsule & Mute Switch-
The Sennheiser EW-DX SKM-S is a digital handheld wireless transmitter/mic compatible with EW-DX wireless receivers. Well suited for a wide range of professional performance and presentation applications, the transmitter features a programmable mute switch and an MMD 835 dynamic capsule with a cardioid pickup pattern that focuses audio capture on the talent in front of the mic capsule, helping to minimize noise and feedback. Lightweight and comfortable for performers and presenters to hold, the transmitter features a rugged, all-metal housing built to withstand daily use on stage.

Features at a Glance
• With a remarkable 134 dB dynamic range on its input, the EW-DX SKM-S can handle a wide variety of sound sources, including loud vocalists and performers, all without requiring any gain adjustment. A trim control allows you to adjust the level for group performances.
• The included MMD 835 capsule is a dynamic capsule with a cardioid polar pattern that rejects off-axis sound, helping to focus audio capture on the presenter or performer and reducing feedback issues when monitor speakers are used.
• The transmitter is equipped with a programmable mute button that can be locked out and overridden from the receiver or a mobile device during a performance.
• The e-Ink display helps you quickly name and identify the transmitter and allows you to see parameters, even when the unit is powered off.
• The transmitter provides up to 8 hours of operation on two AA batteries (available separately) or 12 hours with a BA 70 lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack (included). External charging ports allow for in-transmitter charging using the CHG 70N network charging dock (available separately).
• The unit quickly pairs with the receiver via Bluetooth at a distance up to 120', at the press of a button.
• The EW-DX system utilizes an equidistant tuning grid that equally spaces 3480 frequencies across its wide 87 MHz bandwidth to prevent disruptive intermodulation issues that occur when multiple transmitters operate in confined spaces.
• The system can be expanded with multiple transmitters and receivers to offer up to 146 channels in equidistant tuning grid mode, and up to 293 channels in Link Density mode.

Compatible Microphone Capsules
• The EW-DX SKM-S offers an interchangeable capsule design that allows you to substitute the included MMD 835 capsule with a variety of optional dynamic and condenser mic capsules, with pickup patterns ranging from wide omnidirectional to narrow supercardioid-capsules include the MMD 845, MME 865, MMD 935, MMD 945, MMD 42, MM 435, MM 445, ME 9004, MD 5235, ME 5004, and Neumann KK204 to name a few.
